An idiolect is a personal dialect. Essentially, it is the language used by a given individual. Every language speaker has their own idiolect.

A language or dialect is like a venn diagram of the words and grammar and so forth of what every individual in a discourse community have in common in their communications - what they all speak together, so that they can understand each other.

This is a simplified explanation. It gets much more complex than this if you delve into the study of linguistics.
