I first learned to sew when my mother taught me hand sewing, and then later when I was old enough, she taught me how to use her machine. I also had a class in 7th grade called Home Arts, and half of the class was devoted to learning sewing. The other half was about learning to cook.

I have sewn many items over the years, including garments, quilts, cross stitch projects, needlepoint zipper bags and a glasses case, embroidery projects, and other stuff too.
