I have owned and used a few camcorders over the decades that recorded on videotapes, either 8 millimeter or mini dv tapes. I recorded a lot of video footage of my daughter when she was a baby, and also continued making videos of her as she grew up.

I edited the raw footage down to the juicy bits - a much shorter collection of just the interesting parts, and I added music to some of my edited videos as well.
